Greetings to all supporters/endorsers:

The 50th Chicano Moratorium Committee extends a gracious and appreciative message to all our past and current supporters/participants at our annual commemoration events celebrating August 29, 1970. Our committee continues to remind the community of the Chicano/a civil rights movement dating back to the

1960s, and the actions taken to stop war, educate, organize and seek social justice for all.

Our mission, as clearly established on our web site at www.50thchicanomoratorium.org, is to further educate, organize for social justice, civil/immigrant rights, and to oppose war.

We promote education as the alternative to war, and seek a future of peace through labor unity, community action, and educational opportunities. We are writing to request your endorsement, and donation, to the 50th CMC annual event to commemorate 55

years of struggle since the 1970 police attacks at our mass protest in East L.A., and the murder of Ruben Salazar, Lynn Ward, and Angel Diaz.

In fact, our community continues to be terrorized by the migra, police,

and now the military under orders of a vial U.S. president. Please save the date on August 30th, join us in commemoration, education, and protest in East L.A.

The 55th National Chicano Moratorium Commemoration, Sat. Aug. 30, 2025:

Assemble at 8 a.m., Atlantic Park, 570 S. Atlantic Blvd., L.A. (6th & Atlantic Blvd.)

March to Depart at 10 a.m. south to Whittier Blvd., west to Ruben Salazar Park;

Program, music, booths, and activities at 12 noon.

PEACE WILL PREVAIL!

Please visit our web site, join, donate, and share. We are a volunteer committee, consisting of veterans of the anti-war and Chicano/a civil rights movement, working for a better future. Thank you!

In Appreciation & Solidarity,

Contact: Miguel Vigil Lopez, mlo208@yahoo.com, 50th CMC Chairperson.
