The 50th Chicano Moratorium Committee demands that California governor Newsom sign the union voting rights act immediately, in the spirit of protecting our essential workers and their right to unionize, and, further strengthen the ALRA (Agricultural Labor Relations Act) codified in 1975 as the first labor law for agricultural workers in the U.S.A. This law developed out of the Chicano Movement of the 1960's and UFW actions supported by the Mexican American/Chicano activist of the day, the struggle continues!
